Publication Ethics

This statement of the scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely the manager, editor, bestari partners and authors. This statement of the code of ethics for scientific publications is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which in essence, the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications essentially upholds three ethical values in publications, namely (i) Neutrality, namely being free from conflicts of interest in managing publications. ; (ii) Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors; and (iii) Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism in publications. Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Manager

  1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodical, and accreditation if needed.
  2. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
  3. Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and other parties to a contract.
  4. Respect confidential matters, both for contributing servants, writers, editors, and reviewers.
  5. Apply norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  6. Review journal policies and submit them to authors, editorial boards, reviewers, and readers.
  7. Create code code guidelines for editors and reviewers.
  8. Publish the journal regularly.
  9. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publishing.
  10. Build cooperation and marketing networks.
  11. Prepare licensing and other legality aspects.


Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor

  1. Meeting the needs of readers and writers,
  2. Strive to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis,
  3. Implement processes to ensure the quality of published papers,
  4. Promoting freedom of opinion objectively,
  5. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record,
  6. Delivering correction, clarification, withdrawal, and apology when needed,
  7. Responsible for the style and format of the paper, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author,
  8. Actively solicit the opinions of authors, readers, reviewers, and members of the editorial board to improve the quality of publications,
  9. Encourage the assessment of the journal if there are findings,
  10. Support initiatives to reduce errors in community service and publication by asking authors to attach an Ethical Clearance form that has been approved by the Ethics Clearance Commission,
  11. Support initiatives to educate devotees on publication ethics,
  12. Reviewing the effect of publication policies on the attitudes of authors and reviewers and correcting them to increase responsibility and minimize errors,
  13. Have an open mind to new opinions or views of others that may conflict with personal opinions,
  14. Not defending one's own opinions, authors or third parties that may result in non-objective decisions,
  15. Encourage writers, so that they can make improvements to written works until they are worthy of publication.


Duties and Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

  1. Gets an assignment from the editor to review the paper and submit the results of the review to the editor, as material for determining the eligibility of a paper to be published.
  2. Reviewers may not review written works that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly
  3. Maintain the privacy of the author by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, input, and recommendations
  4. Encourage writers to make improvements to written works
  5. Review the corrected paper in accordance with predetermined standards.
  6. Papers are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of publication based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.).


Duties and Responsibilities of the Author

  1. Ensure that those on the author list meet the criteria as authors.
  2. Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article includes methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
  3. State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.
  4. Explain limitations in community service.
  5. Respond to comments made by peer reviewers in a professional and timely manner.
  6. Inform the editor if he will withdraw his written work.
  7. Make a statement that the paper submitted for publication is original, has not been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
